My personal favorite setting is the "Add-in Always Loaded" setting. When set to 'true' this enables users to open PowerPoint presentations directly without needing to launch from the TurningPoint icon and have the TurningPoint toolbar/ribbon. The default setting is 'false' and to change this setting use the following steps: 1. Close all PowerPoint presentations. 2. Launch TurningPoint from the TurningPoint icon. 3. Select 'Tools' from the TurningPoint ribbon/tab. 4. Select 'Settings'. 5. Select 'Presentation'. 6. The first setting under 'Misc.' is the Add-in Always Loaded which needs to be set to True. Once you have set this to True, it is no longer necessary to open TurningPoint and browse for a PowerPoint instead, simply open any PowerPoint and your the TurningPoint tools will always be there! ------------------------- Tina Rooks |

My favorite settings are the "Response Reminder Settings". I find these useful especially when creating content so I don't have to always insert object to add my favorite type of countdown timer or table. To access these settings: 1. Launch TurningPoint 2. From the TurningPoint toolbar, select Tools, then Settings. 3. In the left hand pane select Presentation. 4. In the right pane scroll to Response Reminder settings. 5. Click on the word "Countdown" to select it, then click to the right of the word "none". A drop down will appear that will allow you to select the type of timer you wish to add. 6. Follow the same steps in "5" to set the "Response Reminder Table", choose the fixed table. 7. Click done Once you have set these settings, any new questions you create will have the objects automatically inserted. |
